On behalf of the Committee of the Council of Federation for Social Policy and Healthcare and on my own behalf, I welcome the organisers, participants and guests of the 10th Jubilee International Specialised Exhibition PHARMTECH 2008!

Russian pharmaceutical industry today is one of actively developing industries in the Russian Federation demonstrating quite steady growth rates. Though Russian pharmaceutical industry is still behind international supplies in term of sale volumes, nevertheless, it provides 60% of the industry?s demands for medicines.

Demands of the population for high-quality medicines grow from year to year. That is why it is necessary to pay special attention to scientific development and introduction of the state-of-the-art production technologies to ensure competitive products.

I am confident that a possibility of establishing mutually beneficial business contacts with leading world and Russian producers within PHARMTECH 2008 will give a new positive impulse for the development of Russian pharmaceutical industry.

I wish the organisers, participants and guests high spirits, creativity, energy and every success in fulfilling their goals and new achievements for the benefit of Russian health care!
